Welcome to my ai illustration world

When I was little, I had another dream — to create picture books📚 and animated stories.

Before I ever picked up a guitar🎸 or camera📷, my biggest loves were drawing🎨 and basketball🏀. If you were one of my childhood friends, you might remember — after school, I’d either be on the basketball court or in the art room with my sketchpad.

But when I started learning guitar🎵 in middle school, drawing slowly faded into the background. Not because I was forced to quit — it just happened naturally. I still loved it, but music somehow took over the space that drawing used to fill. And you know how it goes: the less you draw, the rustier you get.

That’s why I’ve always felt a deep appreciation for artist friends who kept drawing. And even though life took me down other creative paths, the dream of making picture books and animations never really left my heart.

My first real connection with picture books was in university, when I worked on bilingual picture book translations. Later, I even tried co-creating picture books with my illustrator friend in New Zealand — she drew, I wrote — but the publishing side didn’t quite work out.

But life is funny😜.

Just when I had almost forgotten about this little wish, it came back to me — with a little help from AI😺. I finally started creating my own picture books and animated shorts, all based on my true life adventure photography📸, music🎵 and films🎥.

My partner, Xueshan, teaches English online — so together, we created Himalala English📖, a playful little language project based on our real adventures🌟. It’s our way of bringing stories📚, smiles😊, love💙, snowy peaks🏔️, and nature🌲 into the lives of kids and families around the world🌍.

However, although AI has become a helpful little assistant in my creative journey, I still believe nothing can replace the magic of human creativity🌈 and the one-of-a-kind spark each of us has inside✨.

So this is just a small beginning. Through the stories I tell, the music I write, the films I create, the photos I capture — and now with a little help from my AI illustration buddy — I hope to reach more real human souls.

I’ll be creating short bilingual stories on Out of Skool website from time to time — simple stories, filled with heart. If you'd like to join the game and play along, you’re warmly invited to join us on OutofSkool.Com.

And maybe, just maybe, one day we can dream up and build a world together🌍 - that’s full of love❤️, joy🧡, curiosity💛, learning💚, healing🩵, and growing💜… a world that feels a little more alive, a little more kind, and a lot more fun❣️
